One of your currently equipped weapons is moved to the wand slot, and starts using purple mana. Damage is reduced (halved) in the process.

Tips[]

  • Not as good as it sounds (if it does at all) - most weapons that still deal considerable amounts of damage after halving are best kept in their respective slot.
  • The weapon that becomes your new wand does not benefit from old, weapon specific perks, such as Staff Affinity, Spell Master, Talented Alchemist, and so on. However, wand specific perks do affect the new weapon, Wand Mastery, Wand Link, e.t.c.
  • The new wand slot weapon will also survive taking the Dark Forge perk (consume all weapons for a 50% increase in damage for those slots.) You don't get the damage increase, but neither is your wand reset to it's default for your character. Makes using Dark Forge a lot more survivable if you have something decent in your wand slot using this perk.
