Cid has low initial stats, but gains experience more quickly than other characters. This makes the first few floors more difficult, but he has great potential to become very powerful later on.
An advantage of this character is that if a run is going to fail, it will tend to be on an earlier level and longer runs will end up with a very strong play through.
